The Super Eagles are aiming for a victory over Cameroon in an international friendly.
The Super Eagles said they are determined to extend their five-match unbeaten record when they face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in an international friendly today at the Stadion Wiener Neustadt in the Austrian capital.
Nigeria, the three-time African champions, has not lost a match since losing an international friendly to reigning African champions Algeria by an odd goal in October 2020 still in Austria.
Since then, they’ve drawn 1-1 in a friendly match with Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles, drawn 4-4 and 0-0 in back-to-back 2021 AFCON qualifying matches with Sierra Leone in November 2020, defeated Benin Republic 1-0 in Porto Novo in another 2021 AFCON qualifier, and walloped Lesotho 3-0 in the 2021 AFCON qualifying race finale in Lagos.
On Wednesday, defender Anthony Izuchukwu of Sparta Trnava of Slovakia joined the Nigeria camp at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, bringing the total number of players in camp to 21.
On Tuesday, the two great African rivals will meet again at the Stadion Wiener Neustadt in Vienna in a second encounter.
