Traditional rulers pay tribute to former Prime Minister Simon Achidi Achu.
Traditional leaders from Cameroon’s Upper house of parliament and peers from fondoms across the country have described the late former pioneer Anglophone Prime Minister, Rt Honorable Simon Achidi Achu, who died last Tuesday, May 4 in the United States, as an epitome of humility.
This occurred during a tribute ceremony held in memory of the deceased on Sunday, June 13 at his residence in Yaounde, ahead of the arrival of his mortal remains on June 30 for the start of the official funeral.
Traditional rulers from the North West, South West, South, and Center regions paid tribute to the late State’s man in the presence of his wife, Judith Yah Sunday, current Managing Director of Camtel, family members, and friends.
He was described by all as a down-to-earth man who preached the gospel of peace, was generous and simple, and was always willing to share with others.
